We booked for Toyota RAV but we were given Havel. There were few RAVs (non Hybrid) at the parking spot awating for pickup and we do not understand why we are not alloted. This is the 2nd time we have booked Toyota Rav but not given one.
Booking was easy but the process of picking up and rude staff made me ensure I would not book with Bargain Rentals again, if the price difference is not too much I implore others to use other providers, the service was terrible - maybe because it was night and the staff were tired, the drop off staff were much more pleasant in the morning.
Inner condition of the car was quite dirty and not in a washed condition. It was an easy pick up however it would be best if Cheapa provides free pick up shuttle.
Fantastic value. Very prompt pick up and efficient service with clearly outlined conditions. Car did not have cruise control which was disappointing, and made for less relaxing driving conditions.

Price drop refund was an unexpected bonus, I didn't actually believe it would happen.
Cheaper to book on Qeeq than with East Coast direct. Very worth it. They will try to upsell insurance but that's ok so long as you explain you have your own. Though you'd need to put in a 1k AUD deposit by card. Got a lower end SUV however but all good.

Rebooked using the price drop protector. Super worth it.
Customer reception was a little dodgy. I was pressured to pay for an upgrade. The company didn't actually have the compact vehicle I had booked, but did not disclose this. I persevered with my booked smaller vehicle and the company rep had to admit that they could only supply a larger vehicle (for no extra cost). The vehicle also had some cosmetic damage that was not disclosed. I had to take my own photos to prove to Hertz that the vehicle had some damage that their own pre-rental inspection did not show.
Overall quite smooth, just some hiccup in getting over to the pick up place as the shop is located at 10 mins driving distance away from Melbourne airport.
I’m very disappointed about the woman that was attending at the counter (14/10/2022-23:00aprox Melbourne airport). When she knew that we are Colombians she started to talk about cocaine and the good quality of Colombian cocaine. For me and my brother, it is a terrible disrespect and it is even almost a racist and discriminatory comment, in her position as a client attendant, she has to be respectful of all people and cultures instead as she did following a bad stigma about a country to frame us as bad people.
in Colombia, we are more the good people than the bad ones and drugs are not anymore the main thing in a country full of culture and good people.
On the other hand, she had a bad attitude attending us, with a poor explanation about the process. for example, she charge me $100 but she wasn’t clear for what reason I had to pay that. (I suppose it is a bond that will be returned to my account) because when I did the booking I paid for everything.
(At this time, I don’t know anything about this $100 and I would like to know when will be my money returned? )
It is a shame just an only one person with a very bad attitude destroys the whole experience and good name of a company. Forgetting the bad experience at the counter all was good and the car was great.
That’s why we have a bittersweet taste about the experience renting a car in budget.
I was served by Karen at Bargain, Melbourne Airport, she was friendly, professional and provided me with all the help and queries that I needed. The vehicle that we had collected was very clean and there was even a slip showing us when the vehicle was last checked and serviced. Collecting and returning of vehicle was very quick and seamless (unless, of course, many other people were in the same queue as you). I would recommend getting your rental vehicle from Bargain.

Qeeq is very helpful in providing car rental comparisons across multiple rental companies, I was fortunate enough to get an even cheaper price after booking as the Price Drop Protector worked its magic! I send a couple of questions through its customer service portal and the responses were very very prompt (less than an hour).
What could have been better? -> If the price-drop difference refund could be returned to me faster, as I was advised that the price difference will be refunded after I drop off the car around 10 working days. But all in all, I would consider to book through Qeeq in the future.

Apex did not provide the Mitsubishi or similar vehicle but provided a granddad people carrier!!!!
Apex staff refused to honour the reservation despite several requests.
Cheaper rental rates, but dont expect the newest car.
Nonetheless, vehicle was very well maintained, very clean, and functioned perfectly during our trip. Served its purpose.
