When I called for pick up I was told where to wait and that 'Colin' would meet me there but was not told what vehicle he would be in and when he arrived (after over half an hour's wait) he did not introduce himself, show any identification or any proof he worked for Easirent. As a lone female this was un-nerving and I was fortunate another customer was picked up at the same time so I was not alone in the car with this stranger going to an unknown destination.
Within an hour of picking the car up, a warning light came on about tyre pressure. I checked these myself and when I called the office to report it, they advised it was a known ongoing problem but had not informed me about when I collected the car.
We paid in full for car and insurance at the time of booking. Once we arrived the counter staff demanded we pay another 295 pounds for the rental. They said we paid a "broker" and not them. So all together we paid over 500 pounds for our rental. This was not a good start to our holiday. We would not use them again.

There was an odour of cigarette smoke in the car, it had been cleaned and I think air freshener used, but you could still smell the smoke. Only minus really.
Staff were very friendly but I do have 2 specific comments. They explained that this branch could only accept American Express cards via contacting another branch which I was ok with until I had to stand and listen to the guy read out all of my card details including the security code over the phone and in clear earshot of the next waiting customers. This is definitely unacceptable. We did mention it to the team before we left and they requested that we re-raise this through the feedback form. This branch either needs the same functionality as the others, a more private/secure means of transferring the card info or just to not accept Amex until suitable functionality is available.
The other issue is that the shuttle appears to be a single van and we overheard they only have a single car park pass, so while the transfer is approx 10 minutes, if you just miss one, you have to wait for the return trip. We were lucky and didn’t have to wait very long but having now seen your location on the edge of Sowton, I would have to consider my times of travelling before re-booking as at peak travelling times, it would clearly take considerably longer to get to and from the airport.
The team though were very friendly and explained everything clearly, just some feedback with logistics really.
In side windscreen dirty. I was surprised when asked for £1,500 ‘deposit’ from my credit card. Many would not have the capacity to accommodate that request.
