I had arranged to pick up the car at 3 PM, but due to various reasons, I arrived in Faro at 6 PM. Upon arriving at Faro airport, we found out that the company offered a free shuttle service from the airport to the city center, but we were not informed about this in advance, so we ended up paying 10 euros for a taxi. When we arrived at the store to pick up the car, the employees were clearly tired and irritable as it was close to their 8 PM closing time and there were still many people waiting. They were unreasonably rude, refusing service to several foreign customers for various excuses, such as not accepting certain payment cards for the insurance. After waiting for an hour, the service staff, visibly annoyed, told us that because we were three hours late and had not paid a deposit, the car had been rented to someone else. This is ridiculous since the store allows online payments! We were absolutely furious.
Car was clean and in excellent condition. Waiting time was quite long and could be better organised. Not much of a waiting area also had to wait quite a while for airport drop off.

Une attente 1h30 sur place c'est horrible, peu de chaises, pas de place. Faire attention sur tout sur place.
