We rented two cars, and the staff were nice, even willing to wait despite our delayed pickup. One of the cars had several small scratches, but it didn’t matter since we purchased full insurance. However, for those without full insurance, be sure to point out any issues in advance. We confirmed via email beforehand that the additional driver fee was 1,495 pesos and could only be added at the store. But upon arrival, it turned out to be 20,000 pesos per person. The staff explained that adding at the store had a different price. If that's the case, why not provide a way to add it in advance? The inconsistency is frustrating.
On the day of pickup, we only drove about 30 kilometers before parking the car at the homestay, and didn't use it further. The next day, after driving for over 20 kilometers, we discovered an oil leak. The rental office insisted that it was our fault, even though there had been no collision while driving. After hours of negotiation, they finally agreed to replace the car but demanded approximately $960 for repair costs, refusing to acknowledge it was a vehicle issue. Thankfully, we had purchased supplemental insurance through the platform, which saved us from further argument with the store. This incident clearly shows that buying supplemental insurance is absolutely necessary.
Excellent customer service from Europcar Aeroparque Buenos Aires. We had to replace a broken windscreen, and Europcar both there and in Mendoza were most helpful.
Because of Coronavirus we had to return the car early, at 10 am on 17 March, so we could leave Argentina that day. We returned the car to the parking lot at the airport following instructions from local staff.
