As a member of the AVIS Preferred Plus program i recieved my usual upgrade, this time a triple from group B to Group E (from EDMR to IFMR). The RSA was not able to process a proper contract via their computer system, so it had been printed it and signed manually.
The car (Skoda Karoq, medium sized SUV) had a 1.0l turbo-engine, which turned out to be very economical, using only 5.4l/100km petrol on the 900km trip (60% highway with max. 120km/h, 35% country roads, 5% city). Specs you might expect from a diesel but not from a petrol engine.
