Picking up the car 30 minutes early was not allowed. Despite booking an automatic vehicle, we were given a manual one. When requesting a change, the staff was arrogant and unhelpful.
Very good. The location of the car return parking lot at Paris Orly Airport: Google Maps navigation is not accurate. Even if you set it to 'Parking P3 - Parking Officiel - Aéroport Paris-Orly,' after entering the airport highway, you should turn left to enter the parking building. However, the navigation keeps directing you to turn right, preventing you from entering the building and leading you to circle around the airport. Trust Waze navigation; it is much more accurate. Alternatively, follow the ground signs for P3 and the 'Location Car Rental' sign ahead, which will lead you directly into the building and to the underground parking on the 3rd floor, where all the rental car parking spaces are located.
Upon arrival at the store, you need to enter your order number on the machine to get a queue number. They have a priority policy for members, and both service counters prioritize members. This caused a long wait for non-members like me, which I found unreasonable and unfair. I suggest having one counter for members and others for non-members.
“Good counter experience at pick up.
Dirty car.
Good reliable car.
Nit picking employee at car drop o”
About Europcar:7.0/10
We struggled to understand why a pin head size mark ( this is not an exaggeration) on the windscreen was the focus of attention especially given the very dirty car we were given at pick up.
Fortunately my wife had photographed every surface of the car at pick up and she was able to identify the pin head on one of the photographs.
This really concerned us as a trust issue for us with Europecar.Their cut off for what is an issue with a car being returned seems very out of step with other companies which use the size of a coin as the cut off.
Are Eoropecar trying to set up customers for pay outs or was this just one over zealous employee?
I would appreciate a response to this question
Thanks
The original car pickup point at Paris airport was closed. We searched all over the airport, went to two terminals, and finally found the rental location at the parking area. We waited in line for 45 minutes and then another 40 minutes to actually get the car.
The service was way too slow. Sixt Car next door was much quicker. At Europcar in CDG, you have to take a number and wait in line. On top of that, the car was faulty—the transmission had issues, and it could only go up to 100 km/h on the highway.
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
