Pick-up Instructions

If there are no Hertz employees at the Hertz counter at time of pick-up, please use the self-service kiosk. Identify yourself with the credit card used when placing the reservation, and your driver license matching the size of a plastic credit card. The credit card must be equipped with a chip and a 4-digit pincode and must belong to the renter/main driver. The driver license must be in Roman script only. No other form of identification is valid. You will also need your reservation number at time of pick-up. At the time of rental a deposit is obtained on your credit card, there must be sufficient credit on your card to cover all charges. This rental location has a self-service key box. When the office is unattended, the car key can be retrieved from the self-service key box by entering the code you receive after electronically signing the rental agreement.

Volvo in photo but I was given KIA hybrid. Ok as they said it was in the same category. However, the car cannot be charged. I spent an evening searching the web for a solution to realize that it was a defect of the car. Why Herzt gives away defect car to customer?

The Hertz store near the Oslo Royal Palace is the worst in my nearly 20 years of car rental experience. I had a reservation to pick up the car at 19:30, but the store was already closed when I arrived. They offer a self-service option, but the store didn't contact me in advance. Self-service requires a deposit and signing a form, and then you get a code to retrieve the key from the machine. After contacting the car rental company, I had to change my plan and pick up the car the next day. They gave me a car with two scratches. To avoid trouble, I returned the car the next day during business hours to confirm everything was fine. Two days later, I received an email from the store saying there was an issue with the hood and needed repairs. This store is really terrible, and the car rental company's customer service is now handling the situation.
