The rental company is Europcar, and the experience at the Amsterdam Airport branch was extremely poor. Upon arriving at the front desk at the reserved time, we had to wait 3 hours to complete the paperwork and get the car, and this waiting time was included in the rental period. We had reserved a seven-seater automatic car, but were given a manual diesel car, which was far below the promised standard. When we brought this up, the front desk staff were arrogant and did not even answer calls from the domestic platform to resolve the issue. They only asked for more money for an upgrade. Pressed for time, we had no choice but to pay the additional fee. During this process, I had to shuttle between the front desk and the pick-up point repeatedly. Ultimately, the 3-hour wait time was included in our rental period due to a 'computer issue,' resulting in a supposed rental duration of 21 hours. During our interaction, the staff exhibited discriminatory behavior and made derogatory comments in Dutch among themselves. While traveling should be a joyful experience, I hope sharing this account helps others avoid such pitfalls. Europcar's service was very poor.

I booked a car the night before for pickup the next morning. Initially, I was worried that in Europe, you couldn't get a car without booking at least a week in advance, but it turns out I was overthinking. The car was almost brand new, with just over 3,000 kilometers on it and purchased about six months ago. The service staff didn’t charge any additional fees, including for cross-border driving. SIXT, for example, charges 15 euros per day for that, but here it was completely free. There was no mileage limit for the car, and the whole process was worry-free. I paid a 300-euro deposit.

1. When booking through Zuzuche, I purchased full insurance from the car rental company, but at the time of pickup, the rental company claimed there was no insurance and asked us to cancel it and repurchase their own insurance. After confirming for a while, we found that the printed paperwork actually included full coverage collision and theft insurance with zero deductible. It seems the rental company just wanted us to buy extra insurance, which made the experience quite unpleasant. In the end, we didn't buy additional insurance, but they added a 5-euro daily roadside assistance fee. Since the car pickup process had already delayed us for two to three hours, we didn't press the issue further.
2. I reserved the CLA 200 category, but the vehicle received was a CLA 180. This was understandable as they belong to the same category.
3. If crossing borders, you need to pay an additional 2.5 euros per day at the time of pickup.
4. Before returning the car, I deliberately refueled it, but they still deducted over 30 euros for refueling and service fees from the pre-authorized payment. This was a poor experience, and I haven't been able to get the money back yet.

The process was quite smooth, no upselling. I purchased full insurance from the rental company, the type that doesn't require reimbursement back home. Planned to land at 6 pm and booked the car for 7 pm. The flight arrived earlier than expected, and I reached the counter 45 minutes ahead of time. I was told I had to wait or pay extra to switch to a BMW 3-series, but I declined. Spent the next 45 minutes playing cards at the airport. For future reference, you can schedule the car pickup for a later time, but it's not allowed for an earlier pickup.
