8.7 "Very good"The counter staff could have provided charging details (i.e., how it is billed since Tesla charging is associated with the car, not an external credit card or the like). Also, a charging cable for non-Tesla charging would have added flexibility (although Tesla charging network is great).

I do wish they'd had what I'd booked (a hybrid vehicle), but unfortunately they didn't and were offering me alternatives that cost more (Tesla) or were tiny two-door electric vehicles that wouldn't fit me plus my luggage. Had to go with a full petrol option instead.- 8.7 Easy, slick car rental experience - no hassles and stress-freeThe experience was, generally, pretty pleasant. The counter staff were polite, although they pushed unnecessary extras too much for my liking, like additional insurance and bigger car. Having said that, the counter staff did say, "Go and look at the car and if you want to come back and upgrade, great", which was appreciated. The car (Nissan Altima) was OK. It was big enough and comfortable enough for our needs. It was reasonably economical and had no reliability issues. The drop off could not have been easier (except maybe for trying to find a petrol/gas station nearby!). It was, possibly, the easiest and slickest drop off I have experienced, which really helped reduce pre-flight home stress.
10 Great price, easy to rent, great experience overallIt took a very long time to pick up the car in San Francisco International. Getting off an 11 Hr flight to wait over an hour to check in for a car with a very long queue wasn’t ideal. The service at the desk from the Hertz agent was excellent which made up for the wait- 9.7 Great car, great price, great tripTop quality rentl car company. Car supplied was a 5.7L Dodge Charger V8 Hemi, great for the road trip but a bit thirsty round town but nonetheless memorable experience.

7.3 Long wait at deskTook a long time getting the car. Hertz desk was very busy so the waiting time in queue was long. Once at the desk I was told the cars weren’t available and I had to wait. - 6 Poor HERTZ customer serviceBooked a mid size SUV specifically to fit our luggage. As soon as the rental clerk realised we didn’t need the additional insurance we were palmed off with a smaller SUV than needed. No pre inspection by the staff, couldn’t be bothered, luckily I always take extensive photos and videos as on returning the vehicle the inspection guy stated that I should have highlighted the parking dents and scratches before hand. Luckily I have photos on pickup and drop off. Beware!
