About Alamo: 6.0 /10
Car had not been checked before collection - on 2nd day of rental the engine warning light came on and on my inspection the engine coolant level was very low so had to purchase coolant to fill up the reservoir! Alamo staff knew nothing about the "$1" deposit scheme and it took a long time to convince them they should not take the full Alamo deposit! Car was OK but older than I would have expected and was quite tatty.

Counter staff at pick up very pushy trying to get us to upgrade. Said he wasn't happy with our choice of car for safety reasons!! Only driving from SD to LA! He said it had no luggage space, no cruise control and no Bluetooth connectivity. It had all 3! Would put me off using Alamo in the future.

Easy to use. However, the App that's advertised is non-existent, which is disconcerting when you try and load it after you've booked.

“Great service with Alamo”

Like: it was one of the most easy picking up trough self check-in kiosk, entered all data, and you are done. Go to parking and select any of available car you reserved. Drop off was less than 1 minute. Car was brand new and clean. Great service, keep going like that.
