We booked a Dodge-type vehicle but got a Hyundai MPV instead. The car was equally spacious, accommodating 4 people and 5 suitcases. When we found out the trunk couldn't fit all the luggage, we folded down the third row, which created plenty of space. During the trip, there was a small incident where we missed booking an extra room for one night. We realized the trunk area was large enough for one person to sleep. Listening to the rain and train at night, I had a particularly good sleep. The car was new, only driven for 4000 miles, just past the break-in period, with strong power. No issues arose during the trip.
The waiting time was quite long. A salesperson directly added comprehensive insurance without informing me, which would have cost me a few hundred dollars extra. After I noticed it, they tried to argue, but eventually canceled it. Just be more careful when checking. Other than that, it was satisfactory.
The counter staff tried to up sell the third party liability insurance to us at the desk, without mentioning Washington state's minimum liability insurance requirements. Felt pressured in the spot.
About QEEQ:10.0/10
Price was very competitive compared to other booking platforms. No issues with the booking, and free cancelation was also provided.
The shuttle service is excellent, available 24/7 with very short intervals between shuttles. It stops at three locations at Seattle Airport: the main hall, departure lounge, and the rental car building. We arrived late at night and the bus driver was very helpful, reminding us that if the main hall was empty, we could go to the parking lot where there is a duty room. We had pre-booked a Nissan from Thrifty, but when we provided our reservation number, the agent initially told us the car was unavailable and offered a similar model. She then took us to the compact car lot, which only had three cars, each seating just two people. After repeatedly checking our reservation, we finally saw the Nissan in the garage. We showed her our booking again, and she eventually registered that car for us. Then she aggressively tried to sell us insurance. Thanks to prior advice from friends, we declined, but she insisted that driving without this insurance was illegal in Washington state (showing us related news). We explained that QEEQ had already purchased three types of insurance for us, including basic coverage. After verifying, she claimed we only had collision insurance and needed to buy 'protect me' coverage. After much back and forth, we purchased the insurance, which cost nearly half of the rental fee. Upon returning home, we contacted customer service, who initially were uncertain of the situation. After checking, they clarified that we had been sold enhanced liability insurance and that QEEQ's so-called basic insurance was just a minimal coverage required for vehicle registration without a policy number. We felt deceived and quite unhappy.
