The originally booked car was unavailable. The supposedly equivalent car provided had noticeably less space. We were asked to pay extra for a larger Suburban.
I rented cars in two places this time. In Seattle, I encountered some frustrating issues. The receptionist at the front desk insisted on selling me additional insurance. When we told her we didn't need it, she threatened that we might not get the car if we didn't buy it. After we explained that if Washington state law required us to buy it, we would comply if she signed it, she impatiently replied that it was our decision and gave us the car. Thankfully, one of our group understood English; otherwise, we would have been fooled. Additionally, in both places, we booked a Chrysler 300 but were given a Chevrolet sedan instead, likely a Malibu in domestic terms. If it weren't for the need to remain calm abroad and not make a fuss, I would have confronted them. They were just unreasonable. The only consolation was that the car was relatively new. I checked around both rental locations and saw many cars, but not a single Chrysler. Clearly, they are using the Chrysler as a bait.
The service was standard. There was a minor issue with the vehicle's steering, but overall it performed well. It handled seven thousand kilometers without any problems.
Like: Easy, good price, no up selling, all great. Dislike: Little unfamiliar with the car and how to operate radio without running car. Didn't know key was in remotes. Our problem, not theirs.
