The store first asks if you want to upgrade your insurance, then mentions you need an electronic ETC for toll roads, costing 60 AUD per day. It took quite some time to finally get the car. Basically, they just want you to pay extra.

Excellent car rental service at the Gold Coast. The Hertz rental desk is right in the airport terminal. After completing the paperwork, you head to the parking lot where the car is ready for you. Just get in and drive off.
