There was no Chinese service at both the pickup and drop-off locations. I booked the car for 3:30 PM, but I had to wait at the airport for over four hours until almost 8 PM to get the car. I bought the insurance recommended by the staff, who said that I didn't need to return the car with a full tank. This already made me unhappy. Additionally, they gave me a brand-new car with a very strong new car smell. Especially after being parked and exposed to the sun for a while, the smell inside the car was so strong that I felt nauseous. During our self-driving trip, I didn't dare to close the windows. This rental experience made my family very unhappy during the trip.
We arrived locally at around 19:15, and there was no line. The process was quick, but the staff's attitude was not very good. They spoke English in a way that was hard to understand, requiring them to repeat. The response was 'I told you before.' The car return details were also not explained clearly.
Hertz's service is really frustrating. Both the pick-up and drop-off processes were extremely slow, extremely slow, extremely slow!
