The car rental company sent an inexperienced person to handle our order. They were not familiar with the process and their English was not good. They kept aggressively pushing for us to buy their insurance, repeatedly emphasizing that our insurance was from our home country and not theirs. They threatened that if there were any scratches, we would be fined 1700 euros. It was incredibly frustrating and it took almost 4 hours to complete the rental. We wasted half a day. I have no idea who will compensate for this loss. I will never use this company again.
Arrived at the rental company with no queue and still waited an hour to get the car. No one conducted a vehicle handover. This resulted in scratch marks upon return being blamed on me.
Dishonest store, they tricked me into buying insurance, taking advantage of the fact that I don't understand Spanish. When picking up the car, I said I didn't want it, but during the contract signing they had me sign this and that. I believed them and signed everything. It turned out I had actually signed for the insurance. They were very sneaky about it, putting the insurance and rental agreements on the same paper, so you wouldn't know you've signed for the insurance. In the end, they charged me 200 Euros for the insurance. Truly shameless.
