I wanted to rent a car with a spacious backseat that could fit three 24-inch suitcases, so I specifically chose a Volkswagen Golf. However, when I arrived at the rental office, there were only two Indian staff members with very average attitudes, and they said only the CHR was available. If I wanted another model, I would have to wait, but they couldn't say how long. Because I was in a hurry to leave, I reluctantly accepted. The next day, I contacted the rental platform to request a vehicle change, but after two days, they still couldn't reach the rental office. Extremely disappointed with the German rental company.
Rented a Volvo, but was given a Nissan with much less space. Volvo costs 500 per day, while Nissan costs just over 200 per day. They insisted both are the same category. Objectively, the brand and space were downgraded. I believe if you claim the same category, the rent should be the same. You cannot claim a cheaper car is the same category as a more expensive one, otherwise, how can you rent luxury brands in the future? They'll just tell you there's no availability and give you a cheap car instead. Eventually, I had to pay an extra 2000 to 'upgrade' to a Volkswagen.
