The deposit refund process is excessively slow, and the deposit policy is unreasonable! Deposits should only be frozen on the credit card and automatically released after the car is returned, rather than being directly charged as a withdrawal. Now it's almost impossible to get the deposit back! They promised to refund the deposit within 20 days after returning the car, but they keep delaying it indefinitely. Even after constant follow-up, 20 days have passed and still no refund. They keep making empty promises, saying they'll refund it but never actually doing so. They're quick to charge the deposit, but when it comes to refunds, they act as if customers are begging them. Holding onto someone's money for half a month – is that something they take pride in? This is not how you do business! The experience is terrible. A strong negative review!
Very satisfied. The car had very low mileage at pickup, almost like a brand-new vehicle. The rental company also arranged a pick-up service with a sign, which was very convenient. For the return, there was no need to wash the car; simply leaving it at the parking lot was sufficient, and the rental company would send someone to retrieve it.
They brought the car to the airport parking lot, and right after the inspection, they pulled out a POS machine and asked me to pay 50 local currency (equivalent to nearly 1000 RMB), telling me it was just a temporary hold on my credit card and would be released when the order ended. (I had purchased full insurance for this order, but they still forced me to pay this fee, which is outright fraud. I bought full insurance to avoid these issues, yet I was still forced to pay.) However, when the order ended, no one contacted me about how to unfreeze or handle this money. When I consulted with my bank, they told me the payment was taken directly and not held, and now, over a month has passed with no contact from anyone. When I tried to reach their customer service for support, no one responded. Very disappointing.
The most frustrating part is that they didn't have the Hongqi car I wanted, yet they forcefully gave me a Cowin instead. Honestly, I've never heard of this brand, and driving it was terrible. If they didn't have the Hongqi available, they shouldn't have accepted my order. The customer service even told me this car was newer and better than the Hongqi. I've never seen such industrial junk in my home country; the interior was full of plastic noises. Truly garbage.
