“Location incorrect and desk clerk repeatedly lied to me”

The desk clerk at GoldCar/Rhodium was only intent on selling more insurance. He had no other interest. He repeatedly lied to me to try to influence me into buying the extra insurance, instead of explaining things in a clear manner or asking his colleagues for help if he did not know. Eventually he just left! His other colleague was more helpful in explaining the difference between the AXA/Easyrentcar insurance and the insurance they were trying to push on me.

Rhodium need bigger clearer signs and better disrcription of license requirements when booking. An international driver permit was required if drivers license is outside the E.U. without Rhodiums coverage. I had to take their coverage.

The car was exactly what I ordered but was dirty outside. The member of staff at Pisa airport was very rude and insisted that o bought insurance even though I had it already. The deposit I made as required has not been credited back to my account which is not my experience with others rental companies.

Car booked wasn’t available, had choice of a Vauxhall Cora’s or Alfa Romeo...
Cora’s was too small so had to pay an additional 9 euro per day for a vehicle adequate for the luggage..
Also informed that I was not covered for vehicle damage... constantly trying to make me purchase additional insurance ( over 40 minutes arguing this alone shocking)
this car company at rome airport are crooks..they scam customers..they gave me a car with only 3/4 full gas tank and when i notified them before leaving airport they said that is the way the car gage works and it is full..i drove an hour and filled up..it took 30 euro to fill ..so it was at 3/4 to begin with..then when i returned car on the full line..they emailed me at home and said they had to put in 12 euro to fill...thats 8 litres and they sqeezed as much in to get the tank to full and charged me 50 euro penalty plus the gas....rhodium car rental should be removed from your site...
