It wasn't obvious where the car hire depots were - the symbol in the airport was a car with a key above and we were not sure we were following the correct signs. The girl at desk was not happy that I didn't take any additional insurance policy. I chose a policy on the website that I thought covered everything I might encounter but she advised it didn't cover for natural disasters. I chose not to pay for this as the areas she indicated there might be a problem I wasn't going to visit.

Used Alamo in both USA (West Coast) and Iceland. Expect upsell of insurance from Alamo's service staff at the counter, regardless of whatever insurance package you've taken. They will likely sell you: Comprehensive Insurance, Tyre Damage, 24-hr roadside assistance, prepaid fuel, prepaid tolls, windscreen cover etc etc. Each of these items are INDIVIDUAL coverage (requiring top up) and yet there is no "fully comprehensive" option that provides 1-price for all. nonetheless, they cars are generally quite new, fully featured (bluetooth, CarPlay) etc.

This rental company didn't have any Toyota RAV4 models available. They gave us a Jeep Compass instead, which was dirty and old. The trunk was half the size of the RAV4's. The only upgrade option was a Toyota Land Cruiser, and it cost 600 euros extra just to fit in our three pieces of luggage. A RAV4 would have had no issues fitting them all in, and because of that, we had to spend an extra 600 euros.

I booked a 4x4 abd did not receive one. The condition of the car I received was not very good. No one to meet us at airport with a sign with my name on. Waited over an hour to finally see a guy with 10 rental car companies on it. City Car Rental was one of them. Shuttle only runs every 30 mins so very crowded and no room for luggage. Check in process was terrible. 2 customer service reps for all those companies. Waited almost 2 hours to wait to check in. So many people waiting. Returning the car was almost as bad. When ai booke with Qeeq, I thought you were the car rental company and not the agent. Next time I will go direct with the major companies ecen if I have to pay more!

1. Pickup service was not timely, had to wait at the airport for over half an hour and made several calls before someone arrived. 2. The vehicle was old and poorly maintained, broke down halfway. The car had run 268,000 kilometers and was still in use; on the second day, it indicated an oil change was needed, and on the third day, the radiator boiled over. 3. Communication was not smooth. After the oil change warning, called multiple times but the calls were abruptly cut off halfway. After the radiator issue, they answered the first call and provided timely remote guidance but did not respond to calls made after office hours. 4. The address in the contract GPS led to a repair shop, which was 2 kilometers away from the return point. An elderly person who couldn't speak English gave me a map, indicating this might not be the first time it happened. 5. Price fraud. Not sure if it's a problem with the rental platform or the car company. I rented for 5 days at an average price of around 2000 RMB per day and got an old car with 268,000 kilometers. A friend who booked on the same day rented for 3 days at an average price of 1300 RMB per day. Rental platform customer service and after-sales teams, please put yourself in a consumer's position; do your ridiculous reasons make sense?

1. Airport pickup was delayed, waited for over half an hour at the airport, had to make several phone calls before someone came. 2. The vehicle was old and poorly maintained, it broke down halfway. It was smooth and systematic process for pick up as well as drop off! The vehicle, Dacia Duster had 83000 KM during pick up yet the maintenance of the car was excellent, no dents or major scratches. During pick up, the staff informed about the three minor scratches that the vehicle has and asked to click pictures and videos for reference. No problem whatsoever during drop off too. Actual process of pick up and drop off took 20-25 minutes each but due to other guests to it took time. Will definitely rent a car from Wheego whenever I plan next trips!

Overall pretty good. Remember to check what type of fuel the car uses; ours was diesel, so be careful not to fill it with the wrong fuel. Upon arrival, the company will say there's only basic insurance. Show them the document QEEQ prepared, or tell them that the car is insured by a domestic insurance company. The car was quite new and the system supports CarPlay. There isn't much else to mention except that I left my glasses in the car, and there's a small crack in the windshield. Be mindful of strong side winds and drive safely. Have a great journey!

I have booked cars multiple times through ZZCar and this is my first time leaving a review for AVIS, an international car rental company: During the Chinese New Year in 2019, I went on a self-driving trip to Iceland and rented a so-called Land Rover Discovery Sport through ZZCar at AVIS. The cost wasn't high, 6000 RMB for 6 days including full insurance, which seemed like a great deal. However, I ended up with a compact SUV that didn't have enough space, severely affecting the travel experience. This is a serious case of deception or consumer misleading, and other customers have reported similar experiences. The most frustrating and tormenting part was when returning the car. AVIS staff noticed a crack in the right rear mudguard and immediately charged 12000 RMB, yes, twelve thousand RMB. Everyone was shocked. How could a simple crack in a mudguard possibly cost 12000 RMB? After a long argument, the AVIS staff maintained a stiff attitude throughout, and I had no choice but to pay upfront. Fortunately, I had the full insurance and managed to claim compensation later, only losing a few hundred RMB due to the exchange rate difference, but it was still a very unpleasant experience.

1. Provide unresonalble class of the car, the land rover should be Premium SUV class and it is not the same as nissan xtrail. The car price of Land rover could be 2 or 3 times higher than Xtrail how can AVIS put it in the same class? this is unfair for customer! 2. Provide mulfunction car to customer. Your staff said The Nissan Xtrail car is the brand new one that use only 8000 km. But it show speed fault. The car speed that was checked with speed limit on the road has 10km/h different from the speed shown in the car instrument panel. This caused me a lot problem for controling speed and it delay my trip a lot! 3. Your staff lied to me that the car don’t have built in GPS so i need to add more cost to borrow the GPS from AVIS but actually there is in the CAR! This make me feel very bad that AVIS is unreliable and untrustable. From these 3 reasons, I won’t use your service again and won’t recommend anybody to use your brand.

Staff at their office were nice, the inly kinda issue was to find/wait for the pick-up person, I called them and they said the driver was coming. At the office it took about 5-10 mins to do the paperwork and take the car. The car wasn’t new indeed and it had 190k kms of use, but it was all good during the whole week I had it. For the drop off, the person at the counter was very nice and no issues. I saw many complains about faircar in google, but I believe they are improving their service, and at least for this trip I was very happy with their service and car.

The service from this company is very poor. They always give you the smallest car available despite your reservation. The vehicles are in poor condition and very dirty. They aggressively push insurance sales, and if you tell them you bought insurance in your own country, they mock you and claim you don't understand Iceland. There are many hidden charges, and they have no ethics when it comes to making money. Our car was rear-ended by another vehicle, and even though the other party was fully responsible and we filled out the quick settlement form, we were still charged for mutual vehicle processing fees! I've been to Iceland five times, and this company is the most unscrupulous.

This is the first time I felt scammed when renting a car, very frustrated. The staff did not inform us of any road condition precautions when we picked up the car, and they didn't inspect the car with us. As a result, we didn't realize that the car lacked essential tools like a spare tire and a jack. Later, we got stuck in the snow on a mountain and were trapped for two hours because we didn't have a shovel or other tools. Although we had full insurance, it did not include roadside assistance. When we called for help, they wanted to charge us 650 euros. A kind passerby eventually helped us, and we immediately called the company to cancel the assistance, only 20 minutes after our first call. However, they still insisted on charging us, even though their employee allegedly came for the rescue. We had no way to confirm if they had actually been dispatched. When we returned the car, they said we had to pay a basic rescue fee of 35,000 ISK. When I tried to explain and negotiate, they directly charged my credit card without my consent and forced me to sign, then rushed us to the airport. Their attitude was extremely rude. I spent 9,000 RMB on this car rental and received such poor service. I am extremely disappointed and upset. It was truly a horrible car rental experience.

The management is quite chaotic and the staff are inexperienced. They made mistakes on the order three times. It took more than an hour to pick up the car despite there being no crowd, and returning the car took nearly an hour. We booked an automatic, but they gave us a manual.

The mileage was already over 170,000 kilometers when picking up the car, and the vehicle condition and driving experience were obviously poor. On the afternoon of the 7th day, the right rear brake pump suddenly broke, and shortly after, the brakes failed, making driving extremely dangerous and nearly causing a serious accident! Additionally, we waited an entire day for rescue, ruining our planned scenic spots tour! This is really playing with our lives!

Extremely dissatisfied. This is the worst car rental company's service I've experienced in years. First of all, the company is not called rounte1 but Geysir. You can't find it in the airport guide at all. There are always a dozen people lining up at any time in the store, and you can't see any service staff. Everyone is just waiting foolishly, whether it's picking up or dropping off the car.

Also, the car was quite old (around 60,000km) and had multiple bumps on all sides and a few broken interior elements - so was not too pleasant overall.
