I booked a Budget car, but the pick-up store was inefficient. I waited in line for a long time on the first floor, only to be told that I could go directly to the second floor since all procedures were complete. However, when I got to the second floor, the staff asked me to go back to the first floor to handle it. After some argument, they eventually processed it on the second floor. It seemed like there was no communication between them, or the system notes were unclear. This was a very disappointing experience.
Budget and Avis are actually the same company. When I rented the car on July 4th, there was no one at the Budget counter, so everything was handled at the Avis counter. The clerk said the cars are the same, there's no difference in quality, just that Budget is a bit cheaper.
Budget is part of AVIS, so the service was fine... However, the staff worked very slowly, and the pickup process was too slow... Also, they charged my credit card four times. Although I raised this issue on the spot, the staff only acknowledged two charges and canceled one on the spot. It was quite chaotic!
