Green Motion is HORRIBLE. I will never give my business to them ever again. I had 2 car reservations which I need to get reimbursed for since Green Motion cancelled my reservation without informing me. Although I called three times and I called the night before to confirm and spoke with Melissa who failed to mention to me that my reservation will be cancelled. I told her initially when I made my reservation I called the same time to adjust the time since my flight was landing later in the day. I was informed by a young man who assured me that they have 24 hr grace period and I have nothing to worry about. Melissa said the same thing when I called the night prior to confirm. She said we are now more strict on that policy but I’ll make a note on the account. She than hung up on me. I called couple of times and she saw my no in the caller ID and wouldn’t answer. Than I called from my work no and she answered immediately. I told her I had few more questions. She assured me that my reservation would be fine. If they record the conversation I highly suggest to go back and listen to those calls. You’ll know the truth. I asked multiple times confirming with her that I will not run into this problem. I had elderly parents, aunts and uncle, siblings, and my nephew with me. Now think about it would I drag my elderly parents and aunt and uncle and a child after traveling all day if I had known they would do this. NO I WOULD NOT. Anyhow, very very disappointing. They were not even willing to accommodate.
The lady at the front desk was rude and it felt like she didn’t want to be bothered. Also told me there were no cars available. I had to take 9 family members back to the airport and thanks to Budget Rental Car they accommodated me ASAP. Never ever will I do business with them.
The car was perfect for meeting our needs, my main issue was the hidden costs. Which we were very angry about. We were advised to pay $12 dollars a day for toll roads as a number of them across Orlando and liable to high cost fines. Over the period we travelled on 2 Toll roads that would have cost us $5 so feeling well ripped off. Advised we did not need. To refuel then when we returned car charged $42 dollars when I asked how much if went and put fuel was toldI would have less then half an hour to get it fuelled and returned or would. Be charged another day’s hire. As I said felt completely ripped off. When we returned the car one family returned to airport to go to one of mainstream car hire providers due to the costs they were to pay the costs not previously mentioned.
Did not like that I was made to over pay on insurance. Also over priced on the vehicle, felt like I got robbed. A family member of my rent from Ace next door and paid less then I did and they got an SUV for way cheaper then I did with the little car I had. Will never rent from Green motion agin. And not to mention the Air conditioning in the car wouldn’t keep up with the Florida heat
I rented my car through EasyRentCars, and brought the Voucher I received from that company.
On my arrival at the pick up location at Green Motion,
7640 Narcoossee Rd, Orlando, Fl 32822, I handed the colleague the printed version on this Voucher, and a printed version of the receipt I received from EasyRentCars.
I explained that I did not need any further insurance, and directed her to read the Voucher. She did so.
I agreed that I wanted the transponder activated for the toll roads. And agreed that the gas tank was fueled to between 1/2 and 1/4.
When she asked me to sign for payment, I queried the amount of 227.90, as my voucher says that the amount due on pick-up was USD 46.25. Obviously the transponder would be additional to that, but still not 227.90.
She assured me that the balance was simply a pre-auth to cover a USD 100 fee in case of smoking in the car, and a USD 200 fee in case of damage to the rims.
I asked if there were any extras in this cost, other than the 46.25 due on collection, and the additional cost of the transponder. She assured me that there were no other charges and the actual payment would be as shown on my Voucher, and the balance of the amount was only a pre-authorisation.
I dropped the car back to Green Motion,
7640 Narcoossee Rd, Orlando, Fl 32822 on time, undamaged, not smoked in, and with the gas at 1/2 a tank, and was shown immediately to the shuttle to the airport.
I received the emailed invoice after I had cleared security at Orlando Airport, and I tried to telephone the pick up location, but was unable to connect.
The invoice shows a number of additional charges not mentioned in my rental voucher with EasyRentCars.
I am less than impressed with this as I worked hard to convey what I needed, what I had paid for, and what I expected.
The car was great, as was the shuttle and service that excludes the financial aspect
