It was okay. Remember to check all equipment after picking up the car. I didn't expect the car key to be unresponsive; it might be running out of battery or something. It took us about 20-30 minutes each time just to open the car door, which was really frustrating and a waste of time. We asked the platform for help, but they couldn't reach anyone after trying all day. The car we got was also pretty damaged. We chose a Corolla thinking it would be easy to operate and less likely to have issues.
Picking up the car was very smooth, but returning it at night was difficult as we couldn't find the location.
We had to park the car outside the airport departure hall as instructed for returning the vehicle. We hoped the car rental staff would come and drive the car away, but they insisted we drive to the parking lot behind their office, pointing fervently in that direction.
Driving from the departure hall to the indicated parking lot involved many intersections, which seemed easy for them but took us quite a lot of time. It was very stressful as our flight was about to take off.
There was a minor issue; the car broke down for some reason and wouldn't go above 30 mph. I contacted customer service, and they resolved it by letting me exchange the car at the nearest store.
This car rental experience was extremely disappointing. 1. The vehicle provided to us had scratches and dents everywhere, with parts of the car's exterior even peeling off. We requested to change the car, but the rental company had a very bad attitude and directly told us that this was the only car available, and if we didn’t want it, we should just cancel. Communicating through the third-party booking company did not help at all, so we spent the rest of our trip worrying about potential problems with the vehicle, which severely affected our mood. 2. After returning the car, we discovered an additional hidden charge of $400. We had clearly stated upon pickup that we did not want insurance, but the rental company renamed the charge, and what we thought was a security deposit turned into a payment. This issue remained unresolved even after lengthy communication with the booking company. Are they taking advantage of Chinese customers? 3. This rental company not only has terrible service and a rude attitude, but their store is also shared with other companies, with only small signage. It clearly shows signs of poor management and is not a preferred choice.
Finally, a strong recommendation: Do not rent from this company! I also hope the booking platform will terminate their partnership with this company!
The charge list after returning the car didn't specify the speeding fine, which made me think it was an unexplained charge, so I applied for after-sales service. Everything else was great, and the pickup and return processes were smooth.
