After reading the Budget reviews, I was a bit concerned. I have to say on arrival it was a very pleasant experience with helpful and friendly staff. The car was what we expected in size and fitted our luggage perfectly. I would definitely recommend and will be using again.

I arrived 30 minutes early to pick up the car, they said no cars were available and suggested an upgrade. I chose to wait, and 10 minutes later they provided a car of the same class. They handed me a bunch of forms to sign, and though my English is limited, I trusted them and signed. Fortunately, there were no issues. The return process was simple, taking only about 2 minutes. Overall, the experience was quite good.
The car provided did not match the reservation. When questioned, they said the store never had a Camry. If we wanted to change the car, we were told it would cost extra. Additionally, they charged an eToll fee of $25 per day for 3 days.
I arrived at the store past the reservation time, only to be told there were no cars available and I would have to wait. The duration of the wait was unknown. After a while, they said there was an SUV available for an additional charge. I declined and waited about an hour before they claimed a car was available, a Honda Accent. The car had just been returned and was not washed. It was cold in New York, so they couldn’t wash the car. I was not familiar with the Accent and it sounded odd. I asked the staff about the car size, and they responded 'Full size'. After repeated confirmation, we started the paperwork. The staff secretly added extra items and then asked me to sign. I questioned the amount, and he claimed it matched the order. I had to show him the order for him to remove the extra items. When I finally got the car, it was a Hyundai Accent, not a Honda, which was small and extremely dirty. I couldn't see out of the car and it was undrivable. After arguing with them, they finally gave me a car of the same class as per the order, but it was still dirty and the wiper blades were ineffective, so I had to make do.
The wait at the Budget line at JFK was HORRENDOUSLY long. I arrived only ti find the longest queue was for Budget. I stood in line from 10.30am until 12.30 noon before i was able to get to the counter. The lady who served me mumbled away for most of the time and would walk away from the counter from time to time. It was a shoddy experience. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD EXPERIENCED SOMETHING LIKE THIS.
