Returning the car took a long time because of the queue. It was hard to distinguish between staff in uniforms and those without. Before even entering the return gate, they told me to just leave the car. Then someone not in uniform drove the car away to a non-AVIS parking lot. When I asked a staff member in uniform, they said it was fine and that person was their manager. Overall, it made me very anxious, worried the car might get taken away or involved in an accident. After returning the car, there were additional charges but no way to verify them.
The reception service was very slow because the elderly staff kept chatting with my friend, taking half an hour to complete the process. Upstairs, it took quite some time to find someone for the car keys. Returning the car was much quicker, just a quick scan and we were done. However, I discovered later that an unexplained charge of over $250 had been made!
You can pick up and drop off the car at airports, and even at different locations. This is extremely convenient because it's hard to get a taxi abroad. Having a car allows you to store luggage, visit friends and family, shop, and go anywhere you want. This company is truly fantastic!
I rented a car for a day through Wuzuche, but I didn't expect LA traffic to be so bad. I returned the car three hours late, including the time to refuel, and was charged a total of $169.46. I don't understand why. They said if you return the car an hour late, they charge you for an entire day, which is around 400 RMB. The charges were unreasonable, and there's no Chinese customer service, so communication was difficult.
The collection process was very smooth, the car was clean when it turned up. I did feel slightly rushed to drive the car away. It wouldve felt a little better if the car had been in a place where I could've looked it over without feeling in the way.
Dropping the car off at the airport was very easy.
