“No free direct pick up and drop off is really a bad experience. wasted almost 2 hr.”
About GREEN MOTION:6.3/10
getting from T2 was a hassle as need to wait for hotel hooper bus. which cost 5 pound per person. not free.
Getting to T4 get more complex with ride is bus and train. wasted lots of time.
getting car take too long. only 2 staff serving more than 10 people.
The car was Kia Ceed and it was dirty and it was rainy when I picked the car up. I couldn't spend so much time to look the car around. But I took lots of pictures of the car. There was damage in front of the car and they gave me that car with specified damage in the pickup form. I drove that car 14 days and didn't use rear seats. When I went to drop that car, one guy came from the cabinet and he just opened the door and realized very very very small point that I couldn't see at my first look. There was a little and tiny dent that I didn't see before and he said me we have to charge this dent to you. I show the initial photos to him but he was getting stuck in to charge that dent to me. My initial photos contain that area too but it was so rainy and that point was wet. So hard to realize with eyes but "Micheal"(the guy's name was according to his told) seen this point at first look. And he said to me I have already charged 232GBP for that dent. I couldn't understand when he charged when he decided to charge. According to his measure dent was 30mm. But as you can see the attached picture its not over the 5mm. I will report your company to my bank as that was a fraud.
Also, I asked the "Micheal" to show this dent wouldn't be charged the next person who rent this car. He told me he had already entered that damage in their system. I requested to see his report and there was nothing in that car detail!!!

It was quite simple and helpful. Nothing was unexpected. Very happy to use your website.
“Awful queue but get a battered vehicle and you’ll avoid the stringent checks!”
About GREEN MOTION:7.0/10
The pick up time was ridiculous, the queue had about 8 people before me and took nearly 90 minutes to get to the counter. There was also a very narrow barrier to drive through when the van was picked up, quite hard to navigate when I’d only just got the vehicle and wasn’t used to the size and feel of it!
Seemed to be lucky that I was given a battered vehicle and told that it probably won’t be checked like the others usually are - I’d heard that Green Motion are incredibly particular about the bodywork and the video playing in the reception backed this up. Also, I couldn’t find a car hire excess policy that would cover Green Motion, which worries me. Luckily I was given a battered vehicle and told there were so many scratches on it, they wouldn’t check it at the end. I didn’t add any new ones but it was good to know that I didn’t have to worry about it.
I use green motion seven or eight times a year and have yet to get the car I actually book, but it’s always near new and usually in pristine condition.
It can be a bit slow on pickup and they can be super picky with condition on return. I’ve definitely been the cause of a scratch to two in the past, but there’s been at least one occasion where I’ve been charged for damage that I halve definitely not caused, which was barely perceptible and so missed on initial inspection. My advice is to be super picky with anything before driving away.
“Don't use Green Motion. Cheap rentals become expensive once they're done with you.”
About GREEN MOTION:5.7/10
Long waits. Worst up-selling and misleading car hire experience I've ever had. Charged crazy amount for minor scuffs on wheels that were there before my rental. Service was horrible. Won't be using Green Motion ever again.
Staff were helpful, though I was rather annoyed that the office closed at 1pm on Saturday. That was the time I'd inputted into EasyRentCars because it was either that or 2pm, and my timing was quite tight. it meant there was no warning - other than the very small print of Green Motion's "booking voucher" or when I phoned them to explain our situation.
Anyway, they were very helpful but did charge an extra £36 to have someone available out of their normal office hours to facilitate pick-up. There should have been more warning. Did they deliberately lower the price for this particular hire time through the broker, knowing they could "sting" me later for the £36 charge, or take my £15.50 reservation fee if I'd elected to cancel? I don't know but it has been a troubling part of an otherwise positive experience.
“Did not get the car I ordered two years running, landed up with a piece of crap this year....”
About GREEN MOTION:4.0/10
was told the car only has 3rd party insurance & that I would have to pay additional 800 pounds, As I had collision damage waiver as part of the deal I was being lied to, I come to the UK every year for a month but will not use green motion again, I will also make it my job to tell anybody who will listen not to do business with a company like yours, green motion are con artist....
The car was quite damaged lots of dings a panel missing on the lower side. The fan on the car was extremely loud (I am convinced it is on it's way out).
Returning a car with so many dings and scratches is nerve racking for a customer as you always worry that the rental company may not have tracked all of them effectively. Also received the car at 3 quarters full so jad to return it the same...as a customer I dont want to guess at the gas station how much to put in...the convenience of receiving a car full and the expectation of returning it the same is a much better customer experience. I was also sold an upgrade for a "premium" vehicle but have to admit it did not feel that way with all of the above. I did appreciate the navigator and that helped me hugely so that was definitely worth it.
Staff were great...car mediocre.
The car was good - paid for an upgrade to give us an additional driver. Delayed at collection due to their internet not working well. Upon dropoff they found a long scratch that could have been there at pickup or may have happened during the rental (it directly lined up with the crease at the base of the doors) - I certainly didn't hit anything but it could've been done when parked some time. Not dissing them on this, luckily my insurance paid the amount in full that I was charged. They are generally fair about rentals and scuffs/dings - I would definitely use them again
Absolutely terrible experience please listen to ALL the bad reviews I didn't and regretted it immediately.
I waited nearly 2.5 hours after coming 30 mins early due to reading the reviews about the wait time,I ending up having to reschedule a business meeting.
Customer service from one of the customer advisor was nothing less than disgusting an blatantly racist! If you aren't of south asian decent dont bother wasting you time or money. I wish I could remember his name I’m writing this reviews months later. He called south asia man that was behind me forward I pointed out I had been waiting and he then refused to serve me as I had raised my voice, I said I know the reason why he didnt want to serve me he then said you would serve me clearly embarrassed by my intelligence, hos coworker even told him to chill because i would speak to the manager to which he replied he doesnt care!At this point he coworker said he would serve me once he had finished with his customer, the rude one then left to have a cigarettes leaving waiting customers. I was also charge £40 ontop of online price my advise go to eurocar of thrifty its £20 more bt no extra added fee and great customer service I would NEVER GO BACK AGAIN
“Avoid if you can afford to pay extra for a more reputable company”
About GREEN MOTION:5.3/10
When I went to pick up the car, the CS rep at Green Motion tried to get me to sign the check in form without looking at the car first. He then proceeded to give me attitude for wanting to look over the car before signing. I found several scratches that had to be noted, which I undoubtedly would have been charged for. The car also broke down on the way home from my trip due to a mechanical fault. Despite the breakdown being entirely out of my control, Green Motion still tried to place the blame on me several times when I called to find out what the situation was with my rental.
