Very dissatisfied. They tried to mislead us by claiming there were no cars available in the same category and pushed us to rent a higher-class vehicle. In reality, they did have cars of the same model. Only after we refused to upgrade did they give us the same model car. Additionally, they sneakily charged us extra for insurance without us noticing. Be cautious and pay close attention.
Everything was fine overall. The rental company replaced the car with an electric vehicle, but it wasn't fully charged. Driving in the suburban areas of London almost became a disaster, which was very frightening. Fortunately, I managed to find a 22kw fast charger, and with the help of a netizen who provided a European charging map, I located fast chargers; otherwise, nearly a whole day would have been wasted on charging. The rental company didn't provide adequate instructions, especially for foreign visitors who aren't familiar with living in Europe—being assigned an electric vehicle was a nightmare. It would have been better if it was a fuel car instead of an EV, especially since the EV wasn't handed over fully charged. Close to needing roadside assistance in London, I recommend giving customers a charging guide upon vehicle pickup. Additionally, the cost of charging EVs is almost comparable to refueling traditional cars, but many parking lots near tourist attractions don't have charging stations. If you encounter a slow charger, you might end up waiting in the car in frustration.
The pick-up and drop-off process was very convenient, but the staff at the store had a poor attitude. They were very enthusiastic at first, but their attitude changed immediately after I declined their upgrade sales pitch.
We had already purchased full insurance through the Zuzuche platform in advance, but the rental counter added extra insurance charges without informing us first.
The sales agent used an excuse to offer an upgrade during pickup, but the upgraded car was priced more than double the market price for similar vehicles. The next day, at another branch of the same company in a different city, we requested to switch back to the original model. The staff said the switch was possible but the extra charges would not be refunded.
The car rental company is convenient, professional, and responsible. Picking up and returning the car was especially easy. The staff, Lence, provided exceptional service. The car was very new and clean.
I mistakenly chose an electric car, but I was worried about not finding charging stations on-site. There were no alternatives in the same price range, so I had to switch to an Audi Q2 and pay an additional 1560. Adding that to the original 2522 makes a total of 4082, which comes to 1360 per day. That's a bit expensive.
