Since my English is not very good, I repeatedly confirmed during the car rental process to avoid any additional fees. The final charge has not been settled yet, so I’m unsure if there will be extra costs. For this trip, I had to cancel the initial booking at the airport and place a last-minute order with this company because my first reservation wasn’t confirmed properly. Initially, there were some issues due to communication problems on both sides, but they were eventually resolved. Before picking up the car, I confirmed multiple times to avoid extra service charges. However, the rental agreement sent to my email still listed a service fee of over 200 euros. I’ve just returned the car, and I’m still waiting for the final charge confirmation. Once the charge is processed, I’ll revisit this issue. As for the car’s condition, it was excellent.

Without purchasing insurance, if any damage is found, the rental company will charge €900 per damage. When driving, no one can guarantee to avoid all problems. The vehicle was in excellent condition, allowing us to drive across nine countries and thousands of kilometers without any issues. Overall, it's okay. But the car pickup experience was not so great. I originally reserved a Mercedes E-Class, but when I arrived, the only option was a Haval Mocha. What's the deal with that? How can these two cars be considered the same class? To get the E-Class, I was told I'd have to pay an additional 120 euros (I rented for 6 days). Isn't this essentially a price hike? On the bright side, the Haval Mocha had only 2,700 kilometers on it, so it was practically a brand-new car. That part was good. But SUVs consume so much fuel!

We rented a 7-seater van, but this rental company initially gave us a 9-seater without informing us beforehand. After spending a lot of effort locating the car, we found out it was a 9-seater. The vehicle was quite large, and we had never driven something that size before. We went back to the staff to request a replacement, but they said there were no 7-seaters available. We insisted on canceling the rental, and then they asked us to wait while they checked again. After about half an hour, they said they had found a 7-seater by chance. It wasn't until the end of our trip that we realized the 9-seater couldn't even fit into underground parking lots because of Germany's strict parking size regulations. Overall, we were not very impressed with this rental company.

The car exceed my expectations and I decided to extend for another week and had returned it today. The entire process of registering and picking up the car at the airport was very smooth. Throughly enjoyed having the car even though I had use it to bring me from point A To B . I would have love to take the car for a long trip. The only negative side is when I decided to extend the car for another week , I had someone ( with an Italian accent ) on the other line which I could hardly understand her . Positive side , she tried her very best and was very friendly.

The rental company did not clearly indicate the user's requirements on the order. Although there were options to choose the model when paying, these were not reflected on the order. The staff at DOLLAR reception was very friendly. After we purchased full insurance on the spot, they upgraded our rental car for free and carefully explained the precautions. The car we received had only been driven over ten thousand kilometers and was in great condition. We used it for 14 days, traveled over 2800 kilometers across Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic without any issues. We are very satisfied!

Thrifty is a small company in Europe, with fewer models and locations. I booked an automatic Focus or a similar model, but when picking up the car, there was only an automatic Skoda Fabia available. Both the price and the space specifications are lower than the Focus, more on par with the Ford Fiesta. Also, when picking up the car at Frankfurt Airport, the staff said that starting from October 1st, winter tires were required and I'd have to pay an additional cost every day. Over 10 days, they charged me more than 160 euros. I initially thought this was a universal and mandatory rule, so I didn't question it, but later found out from the internet and friends that winter tires are only required from November onwards. I didn't need them from October 1st to 11th, and in fact, it was around 20 degrees Celsius in Germany during those days.

At the time of pickup, the rental company informed me that the rented vehicle was not available because the previous renter had not returned it. They didn't know when the car would be available. After waiting for several hours, the company's solution was that the vehicle was still not returned, so either wait indefinitely or switch to a manual transmission model (I originally rented an automatic) without a refund for the difference. I found both options unreasonable, so I decided to rent from another company. During the process of renting from another company, I was informed that the vehicle had been returned and was available, but this was already more than 4 hours past the scheduled pickup time.
