Had to wait in line for a long time. There is some confusion about the charges because I didn't pay directly through the app. The price at the front desk was about a few dozen dollars more expensive than shown in the app. Now I'm contacting customer service for after-sales inquiry.
It was okay. Parking in Cambridge is particularly difficult and I received a fine. The rental company did not agree to deduct it from the deposit, so I had to go to the Cambridge Traffic Management Center to pay the fine myself!
We were given a complimentary upgrade and the car and the process all worked very well. Because I'm AVIS preferred I could skip the incredibly long queue in the main booking hall and go straight to the preferred desk. If I wasn't I think I would have waited over half an hour to get to the front of the queue (which we stood in first before seeing the sign to AVIS preferred)

All worked vey well and when I had a support query it came back quickly with an answer
Overall, it's quite convenient. Although I refueled the car before returning it, I was still charged. Be sure to keep your refueling receipts for any future claims.
The front desk staff at AVIS, a half-black woman, had a very indifferent attitude. During the process, she attempted to deceitfully upsell me on additional insurance. Only when I showed her proof of my full coverage did she reluctantly acknowledge it with an 'okay.' Everyone should carefully read all relevant payment details and contracts and bring them along. Additionally, the toll package she recommended is worth considering. In the U.S., many places charge tolls without toll cards, and charges can accumulate unexpectedly. This package is definitely a plus.
The car provided wasn’t the small sedan I reserved—it was a CUV. The tires kept triggering low-pressure alerts, so I had to visit the nearest AVIS store for inspections, which was quite frustrating. The staff there offered to switch the vehicle, but since I had already gotten used to the CUV, I decided to stick with it. Even after refilling the tire pressure, the alerts came back after a few days.
