Budget is great for all care hire needs, the branch in Coimbra Stadium does struggle a little when it is busy as they only have one computer in use, but it is only a minor issue for us. I received a great upgrade and just had to wait a little bit extra as the previous client left an empty petrol tank, but that’s all. I keep renting here as the people are great and the price is unbeatable.

Budget is a budget company, understaffed, cars which are generally not clean (seats, floors and windows are hardly given attention) and upon return the office was closed resulting in dropping off the car key at the dry cleaners. Safe to say that I had to follow up regarding the hold and money I paid for the fuel using my credit card.

Enterprise is always great, the cars are clean, well serviced, the staff speak English and I never need to wait (long).

Enterprise is always great value and fantastic service, the companies staff speaks English fluently, doesn’t push to up sell, has a toilet on site and provides free drinking water. What more can you ask for? I love these guys!

Hertz charged me 289 euros for a small dent on the windshield, probably caused by a tiny little piece of rock on the highway, arguing that the whole glass would have to be replace. It’s common knowledge that small (less than half an inch) dents like this can be fixed at many different places (Carglass, Glassdrive, ExpressGlass, for example) for as little as 70 euros. It looks like Hertz took advantage of the situation since it’s clear an incident over which I had no way of avoiding it. Will not make business with them again.
