When booking a infant car seat, it would be great if was contacted about age of infant so they car seat was installed in the correct form. When picking up the car we waited 45 minutes for some to come and help us put it in rear facing which is the legal way the car seat need to me installed for our 5 month old. We are also still waiting for our bond to be returned to our bank account.

We asked for a 6 seater car. Were first given a 5 seater car and when the customer attended realised there was no way we could all get into it, plus our luggage, she arranged for us to have a Pajero that had just come in. It hadn't been cleaned, but it was spotless anyway. We still had a jam to get into the car! However, we managed and the car went well. Don't know why a 6 seater ordered, turned into a 5 seater!

We arrived early and were lucky to get a car without waiting, but there were so many customers! The car we got had dirty windows with noticeable bird droppings or something similar, and it hadn't been cleaned. This is really not good.

Difficult to work out the drop off point in Greymouth as no signs visible as was actually inside the train station building. Apart from that GREAT.

Perfectly smooth. The staff at the Dunedin Airport counter was awaiting my arrival and gave a free additional driver add-on for my partner. The car was mechanically perfect. Do check the condition of the car as they may not report small scratches or dents, etc. so take a photo and email them as evidence so that you won't get penalised when you return it or verify together with one of their staff, just like we did.

Tried to extend our rental period by 6 hours and was going to be charged 60% more than our per diem rate. Drop off was very confusing, inconvenient and time consuming. First time with Europcar. We won't use this company again.
