There was a scratch incident during the car rental in Australia. Since I didn't buy insurance, compensating for the damage was not an issue, but the charges were not transparent. Due to having my credit card information, they directly deducted an amount of over 4000 RMB and another fee of about 100 RMB. The 4000 RMB is likely for repair costs. I'm not questioning whether a small scratch should cost that much, but rather why they didn't provide a detailed breakdown and just charged a lump sum. Communication with the rental platform was frustrating, always responding with: 'It's their decision, we are not sure, and there's nothing we can do.' The car rental process was satisfactory, but the post-accident handling was extremely disappointing.
