          The service from the well-known rental company was excellent, with easy pick-up and drop-off procedures. Our order was upgraded to an SUV, which was a brand-new car with only 11 miles when we picked it up. We were the first customers to drive it. We rented the car for 7 days and drove nearly 2,000 kilometers, picking it up in London, heading to Scotland, and then returning it in Edinburgh. Overall, it was a smooth experience.

          They charged £195 for a small mark on the tire, which they found using a flashlight up close, plus an additional 20% service fee. It's a scam. I thought big companies wouldn't do this, but this one acted just like the small companies. I won't use them again. The radio couldn't be turned off, the navigation sound couldn't be turned on, the car didn't drive straight, and the steering pulled to the left. Make sure to take lots of photos as evidence when you pick up the car.

          The representative's attitude was not great. We arrived 20 minutes early to pick up the car but still received it almost 30 minutes later than scheduled. Less than an hour into driving, the screen showed a 'low engine coolant' warning. At the next city's service point, the rental company said this brand's cars often have this issue and to just ignore it, though the warning kept appearing throughout the trip. The trunk can only fit three 28-inch suitcases, which is somewhat different from the official description.

          The space of the car is as expected however the exterior of the car is not very clean. You can’t differentiate the dirts with the scratches. I hope they can clean the car in and outside of the car throughly. The front desk staff during the pickup at Gatwick Airport is nice, she tried to upgrade the car (with a price of course) and tried to sell their insurance but I rejected nicely and she didn’t push it further. Everything was nice until Avis (Budget) charge me £30 for ADMINISTRATION FEE only for passing on my details to the police. At first it was tolerable because I might have speeding at the highway unknowingly. I still haven’t heard from the police until now. Avis send me a letter btw not email. All the way from the UK to Malaysia. BUT Avis charge me £30 again for whatever reason I don’t know. I guess I need to wait for their mail to know. I will never use Avis again. Ever.

          I was disappointed that the service desk tried to fob me off with a 2 door Fiat 500 even though I had booked and paid for a 4 door Ford Fiesta or similar. So frustrating that almost every time the rental company tries to persuade you to take a car that is a lower specification than the one you have booked in advance and paid for in advance!! Trying to charge £14 per day for a satnav and £10 per day for an additional driver is just ridiculous. If the prices were more reasonable I’m sure your customer would be tempted to boost your profits via these “add ins” but because you are greedy and overcharge for them I’m sure that most people like me don’t bother..

          The car was good - a Skoda estate. My issue was the £55 they automatically charged for processing (in effect passing on) an erroneous car parking fee. Not happy about this - I guess read the small print; it was I’m sure in there. It’s a bit of trek by shuttle bus to the back of the crown plaza hotel in Crawley- show the driver your booking to waiver the bus charge. They are infrequent- 2 / hour - so check times. Don’t forget you need a *credit* card with your address matching your drivers licence and £1500 to be blocked out, or you will get royally screwed for insurance charges. Good luck!

They give you a good price initially but then look extremely hard for something to charge you for when you return the car in order to make up for the good initial price. You'll be better off just paying up front with a more reputable company. For us, they kept pointing stuff out until I couldn't provide a photo proving it was there before.

          Picking-up a car took almost 2 hours; the car is not really at terminal, they took me about 10 miles away from the airport to the car; dropping off is also terrible - there is no signs on the place, I winded around few times until found them; the car was vandalized, though that was not my fault, and I reported police, they charged me 1500GBP (abt 2000US$) for 4 small scratches! They agreed to cancel the first 500 taken on a S$ card(to take away forex diff), instead took 500 off a UK TSB acct. The first deposit was not cancelled or returned to the card account. WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER FOR DOLLAR TO RESERVE THE CREDIT. That was how SIXT secured their deposit in my earlier week's rental. So much neater, and more considerate to the customer.
