return was smooth and enjoyable. The pick up whole process is horrible and full of inconvenience. The Goldcar doesn't accept amexrican express. When charge the debit car 1400 euro for deposit, they just do the conversion and make it 1260 Pounds themself . then when they later return deposit, they then return 1400 euro which converted automatically to 1200 pounds like market rate. So we just loss 60 pounds for nothing by the Goldcar customer named Hugo service person incompetence work.

The car did exceed my expectations, really good for our purposes. There was damage to the bonnet of the car that had not been reported and had I not noticed it I could have been held liable hence I have marked down the condition of the car. As there were 2 off us in the car it should have had 2 hi- visibility vests. It’s law in France that every person in the car has a vest in case of an issue. There was only one but when asked for we were supplied with one after 10 minutes or so. None of the staff seemed to know about this requirement. Other than that, very happy and would rent here again.

The service at the store was excellent. The car provided was very new, less than 10,000 kilometers, and very clean. When returning the car, the fuel gauge did not show full because the C3's gauge had some issues. After explaining this to the lady at the store, she was very helpful and had a great attitude. She processed the return for us immediately, and the speed was super fast.

The staff specifically reminded me to return the car with a full tank of gas. In reality, they added a prepaid tank of fuel. On the morning of the return day, I refueled the car to full. In the afternoon, I received a message that my credit card was charged. I checked the records and found it was for the prepaid fuel.

The reserved model was not available, and I was given a smaller manual car that couldn’t accommodate five people. Europecar offered me a SERES3 EV. I asked them for another car such as Peugeot, Renault, Citroën, etc, but they said they have only Chinese EV cars or Tesla for extra 100 €. I didn't accept Tesla, and take Seres3. During my drive on the first day, the car had problem with electric system. I went to the Europcar Agency in Montpelier Airport. At the beginning they refused to change the car. I called Europcar Help Center and QEEQ help center but didn't contact to anybody. I resist to change the car and they accept to change the car with MG4. This EV car was OK and I completed my travel without another problems.

The agent kept forcing us to buy insurance, otherwise he would make it difficult for us to get the car. I told him I already had full insurance, but he didn't acknowledge it and forced us to buy insurance using documents in French, and made us sign. It took two extra hours before we got the car. This felt like fraudulent behavior. As it was our first time renting a car, we didn't know any better and had to comply to get the car. Later, we saw two extra charges on the bill: 212 euros and 265 euros, but we don't know what they were for.

Our flight landed very early which meant we were at the counter at 9:45am for a 10:30 booking. The staff were unable to access the booking until 10:30 which meant a 45 minute wait. The company you provided the rental with (interment) have sent me an unreadable invoice and have charged me an additional £50 to my credit card without my permission, after they had cleared my rental and said there would be no further charge. The email address from which they sent the invoice is a no reply address so I cannot even reply. This is totally unacceptable and to take additional money without my agreement is fraudulent.

Would absolutely not recommend Interrent to anyone. It took over 60 minutes to get the vehicle and once at the counter they charged me an extra 80€ on "basic services". Once that was over, the car was as expected, but they didn´t even have the thought of cleaning it. Overall a bad experience.

We did not get the car we wanted. We were not given any other option than what we got 'take it or leave it'. They were totally over the top in trying to sell insurance. They insisted on a credit card (which a lot of people don't use anymore). Why not take a deposit on a visa debit. We had to pay c€250 for this reason. The building is overcrowded and their process is too slow. It is not obvious to take a ticket when you arrive.
