Hidden insurance fees were not disclosed by the staff. They concealed this from customers. The customer service was unhelpful, making me suspicious they might be colluding for profit. I will not use their services again.

Dollar doesn't pressure you to upgrade your car. Last time at San Francisco Airport, Thrifty kept suggesting I pay extra to upgrade to a Kia sedan because the staff thought the car I rented was too small to fit all the luggage and passengers. In reality, it fit just fine.

The overall experience was great. However, I was overcharged $40! I didn't realize this until I got home and looked at my receipt. How do I retrieve the money that I was overcharged? I paid $83 at the time of booking, but was charged an additional $40 on top of that.

Car was very dirty. Also, they did not have the car I requested, and gave me a larger one which used a lot more gas. I emailed their customer service and never received a response.

Of all the rental places fox is by far the least user friendly. There are no counters to return car at San Jose airport. You return it to the parking garage and they walk up to you. Good thing is cars are usually upgraded but the cars I have had are pretty beat up and they do a poor job of cleaning them.

Excellent car condition. Car model was a good one too. Overall experience with the car that we had was great. Except their pre-fill fuel policy, where I end up keeping about $50 fuel while returning, experience with Hertz was good.

Only nasty surprise was the added bridge-crossing fee. $8 to cross the Golden Gate, then Hertz adds another $6 in "convenience fees". Don't know what planet they are living on but that is a 75% increase, unexpected and extortionate. Bad move, Hertz, you'll be my last choice in the future.

Like: Tim was very kind, informative, friendly and patient. He was very knowledgeable about the process and Airport. He made it very user friendly.
Dislike: The vehicle was not very clean. It needed a thorough washing and better detailing in the inside.

The experience was mediocre. They only offered three types of cars: Kia, Hyundai, and Ford, all small SUVs.
