My only worry was the car hire desk closed at 10pm on Saturday (why close earlier on a Saturday?) which was cutting it close for my arrival but everything worked out ok.

Picked up the car on October 1st, but received a car whose inspection expired in September. Got stopped by the police halfway for a prolonged check because it was illegally on the road. They were lenient enough not to impound the car immediately and allowed us to drive to an AVIS location an hour away to swap the car. Such a mistake is simply unprofessional.
